Black Actress is a local Chicago straight up rock band. You can listen to them on Myspace, http://www.myspace.com/blackactress13, but you won't get any idea what they are about. You have to see this band! I don't know the names of 3/4ths of the band because they are not listed on their Myspace page!! SO we will call them Bass Player, Drummer, Guitar Player and Bobby Miller. The Bass Player (Chris Polish) rocks, his manic strumming sets a great back beat. Guitar player (Casey Von Sass) is amazingly subtle and attacking in a preteen Hannah Montana T-shirt. The drummer is top notch as well. The reason you must see this band is Bobby Miller, the lead singer. Unless Mick Jagger is in town, you won't find a beter front man. He is a constantly dancing, microphone swinging, falling, James Brown splitting, maniac. He fell off the stage at Cobra Lounge, split his arm open on a bottle and continue singing on his back on the dance floor as the bar manager ran over, thinking he needed an ambulance. Miller jumped back on stage and sang three more songs with blood flowing down his forearm!
